In addition to the team registration fee, each team must raise a minimum of $400 for Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) throughout the tournament! Fundraising amounts also help contribute to your overall team score, bringing you closer to the crucial championship game!
Once your team is registered, you will be provided a unique URL to your team page where donations can be made online. This URL can be provided to friends, family and co-workers to help you reach your goal. But that's taking the easy route.
Get creative with your fundraising approach! Host a bake sale at work, organize a ticket draw or throw a mixer! At the end of the day, this event is all about charity and the team that raises the most will be honored and rewarded on the last Thursday of the event.
We do encourage teams to set up fundraising initiatives at the event on Thursday nights. Just let us know in advance so that we can promote it on our Facebook page & ensure there aren't multiple teams doing the same fundraiser each night.
Any cash donations you collect can be brought to the event on Thursday night, where employees of YACC will be on-site to collect during check-in. Your online totals will be updated within 24 hours.
Pledge sheets to record cash donations can be provided by YACC, and all donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt (name and full mailing address of donor is needed for this).
